Chill iPad owners! You must have been disappointed about the removal of the channels from the iPad’s Time Warner app after the network complaints. Another new Cablevision iPad app is out now, Optimum for iPad, which gives you the better experience than the Time Warner Cable’s, Viacom’s, and FIOS’ offerings.
The Optimum for iPad app lets you set up DVR recordings directly from the app and you can also browse the TV listings, and delete the recorded shows. iPad users can register the 300 channels on up to 3 iPads per account and used on any two at the same time. Optimum for iPad app gives you the access to the company’s more than 2,000 VOD offerings and the app delivers the channels over the company’s digital cable network just as it works with your set-top box. No net service is required. Optimum will provide an internet-blocked cable modem for free that will permit you to use the iPad app with a user-provider secure wireless router. Remote control functions are scheduled for this summer. The best part of this app is – this app is available for Free in the App Store.

The Optimum subscribers can download the Optimum for iPad app here at iTunes Stores (hot the link) for Free, which is weighing 7.6 MB of size and your iPad should be running the iOS 3.2 or later.

It’s pretty nice of Cablevision to give this gift of TV on an iPad only in their house. Although it’s free, I don’t think I would find it worth that much to me since I don’t have an iPad. Luckily I have a Sling adapter connected to my DISH Network employee service so I can see TV on my iPhone or Galaxy Tablet. It’s really sweet because I watch my DVR recordings or live TV when it’s convenient because I need to kill time, the only way to watch TV “Everywhere.”
Get the ipad 2! It has a cartoon network app on it. You can watch your favorite episodes on it!
