Its official. Proving the leaks, the carrier has officially confirmed via its Twitter account that T-Mobile G2X smartphone has scheduled to launch April 15th through T-Mobile online stores and then on March 20th in-stores, with a price tag of $199.99 on a 2-year contract with the T-Mobile carrier after a $50 mail-in-rebate. Totally, you should be prepared for paying $249.99 on the day of purchase.

T-Mobile G2X comes with “stock version” of Android 2.2 Froyo (upgradable to Android 2.3 Gingerbread soon) on a 1GHz NVIDIA dual-core Tegra 2 processor, 4 inches WVGA display, 1.3 and 8MP front and rear facing cameras respectively, with HD 1080p video capture, 8GB of on-board storage (expandable with up to 32GB of micro-SD), 21Mbps HSPA+ 4G radio inside, a 1,500mAh battery, Bluetooth, micro USB, DLNA, HSPA connectivity, pre-installed with Qik video chat, Need for Speed Shift HD, T-Mobile TV, a demo version of Near Orbit Vanguard Alliance (NOVA), and DTS Ultra Mobile sound enhancer. G2X is said to be the first phone to be shipped with Tegra Zone preloaded.
