According to the sources over at ComputerWorld, an official HTC representative has confirmed to JR Raphael, that the HTC will be rolling out the Android 2.3 Gingerbread update for the T-Mobile G2 smartphone by this “summer”. Previously, we heard that HTC Desire, HTC Desire Z, HTC Desire HD handsets will be getting the Gingerbread update in Q2 of this year.
HTC T-Mobile G2 still sticks at Android 2.2 Froyo at present, runs on Android 2.2 Froyo with 800 MHz Qualcomm processor, 512MB RAM, up to 32GB micro-SD support, 3.7″ touchscreen, 5MP camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, A-GPS etc.
