Ta-Da. Good news for the folks who are waiting for the RIM’s first tablet, the BlackBerry PlayBook, which was announced as the first dual-core tablet back in tablet. It is now available to purchase for the consumers of the U.S. and Canada in the various stores.

BlackBerry PlayBook runs with A9 dual-core 1GHz chipset, sporting 7” LCD touch display, 1 GB RAM, 16GB, 32GB and 64GB versions, dual-core 1GHz CPU, 3 Megapixels front facing camera, 5 Megapixels rear facing cameras, supports 1080p HD video recording, Wi-Fi – 802.11 a/b/g/n, support for WebKit/HTML-5, Adobe Flash Player 10.1, Adobe Mobile AIR, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 1080p HD video playback with an HDMI-out port, a 3.5mm headset jack and a microphone, powered by 5300mAh battery and the OS is QNX.

BlackBerry’s calendar & native email productivity apps will be upgraded with the future software update and it also supports Android app compatibility, but this features also not ready yet.
