Samsung Droid Charge For Verizon Coming On April 28 At $299.99; 4G LTE Capable

Verizon Wireless has just officially unleashed its next 4G LTE capable smartphone, the Samsung Droid Charge. This handset has been leaking continuously online and teasing us with its high-end specifications, and many users are eagerly waiting to get their hands on this device. As expected, the Samsung Droid Charge will launch on April 28th and it will cost you $299.99 on a two-year Verizon Wireless contract. Droid Charge is the second 4G LTE capable smartphone after the HTC Thunderbolt and costs $50 higher than the current price of the Thunderbolt.

Verizon writes that the 4G LTE data plan starts at $29.99 per month and “no additional charges” will be charged for Mobile Hotspot usage.

The Samsung DROID Charge sports a 4.3-inch Super-AMOLED Plus display, powered by a 1GHz processor , equipped with an 8-megapixel camera with LED flash, and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera for voice chats and is also capable of sharing its 4G LTE connection with up to 10 Wi-Fi enabled devices (while connected to LTE), 5 to 12 Mbps and upload speeds of 2 to 5 Mbps in 4G Mobile Broadband coverage area, HDMI output, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth v3.0, 8GB of internal storage, Samsung Media Hub, and running with the out-dated Android Froyo with Samsung’s new TouchWiz UI.
