HTC Merge Arriving To U.S.Cellular On April 29?

HTC Merge is an Android powered world phone with a slider keyboard having the dual-mode CDMA/GSM functionality, which is set to release on multiple carriers in the U.S. The North American carrier Alltel Wireless is already selling it for $124.99.

Previously, U.S.Cellular has announced that it will release the HTC Merge in April but has’t specified the exact release date. Folks over the Android Central have managed to get a leaked internal U.S. Cellular document, which is suggesting that the HTC Merge handset will release on April 29, 2011 through U.S. Cellular networks. There is still no info about the price at which U.S. Cellular going to offer HTC Merge.

Specs wise, the QWERTY-slider HTC Merge is having Android Froyo on top of HTC Sense UI, sporting a a 3.8-inch touch screen with 480 x 800 pixels resolution, 800MHz processor, a 5-megapixel camera with 720p HD video recording, HTC Sense, GPS, and Wi-Fi connectivity, DLNA capability, Stereo FM radio with RDS, micro-SD card slot for memory expansion up to 32GB and much more.

Verizon’s leaked press shots are also indicating that the Verizon Wireless might well launch the HTC Merge smartphone, but release details are still uncertain as of now.
