BlackBerry PlayBook Coming To Sprint On May 8th?

During the last month’s CTIA event, it is being confirmed that Sprint will be launching two versions of the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet, a Wi-Fi version, as well as a WiMAX 4G version. But there is no word on the specific release date for the PlayBook tablet.

Folks over Spantechular blog have managed to get the leaked internal document of Sprint, which is suggesting that BlackBerry PlayBook will launch on May 8th. According to the source, Sprint will launch the Wi-Fi only version of the PlayBook and it will come with a price tag of $499.99.

RIM’s first BlackBerry PlayBook tablet comes with BlackBerry OS with QNX technology, running on a A9 dual-core 1GHz chipset, sporting 7” LCD touch display, 1 GB RAM, 16GB, 32GB and 64GB versions, 3 Megapixels front facing camera, 5 Megapixels rear facing camera, with support for 1080p HD video recording, Wi-Fi – 802.11 a/b/g/n, support for WebKit/HTML-5, Adobe Flash Player 10.1, Adobe Mobile AIR, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 1080p HD video playback with an HDMI-out port, a 3.5mm headset jack, inbuilt microphone and is powered by a 5300mAh battery.

BlackBerry PlayBook tablet is now available to purchase for the consumers of the U.S. and Canada in various stores with price tags of $499.99 (16GB), $599.99 (32GB), $699.99 (64GB).
