Nikon D5100 DSLR camera is the successor of the D5000 DSLR and it is 10% lighter than the successor. The D5100 is the first Nikon DSLR to be able to apply special processing filters to stills and video.
Nikon D5100 DSLR camera comes with DX-format 16.2-megapixel CMOS sensor (size 23.6 x 15.6mm), equipped with a new ME-1 microphone to let you take full advantage of 1080 p HD video recording video recording capabilities at both 30, 25 and 24 fps (includes autofocus in video mode), EXPEED 2 image processor, sporting a 3-inch articulated 921,000-dot LCD display (side-mounted) – swivel open horizontally for additional viewing angles, even when using a tripod, 18-55mm VR lens, a faux tilt-shift miniature mode, 1 AF points; 420-pixel 3D Color Matrix Meter, 4FPS bursts, real-time color sketch and selective color effects, Continuous shooting at 4fps, GPS compatible with optional unit, 3D-tracking AF. It works with NIKKOR lenses, SD cards, and external flashes, mics, it’s got interchangeable lenses. D5100 DSLR can shoot up to 4 frames per second (fps). ISO range varies from 100 to 6,400 (Can be raised to ISO 25,600 at Hi 2)
