The delayed Verizon’s Samsung Droid Charge may arrive on May 3, 2011 if we are to go by the latest reports. The phone was to launch on April 28 for $299.99 but it was delayed following the crash of Verizon’s 4G LTE network. Since then we didn’t hear any official information about when the phone release will happen. But suddenly some on at Android Central forums posted a screenshot which is suggesting that Costco will get the smartphone units on May 2 (Monday) and the screenshot also shows a strict ‘do not sell’ message apparently to warn the staff not to sell the units before May 3.

Droid Charge is coming with a bigger 4.3-inch AMOLED display screen, 4G connectivity capability, Android Froyo running on 1 GHz processor, 8 megapixel rear-facing camera along with a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera, Mobile Hotspot that can share phone’s 4G connection with up to 10 Wi-Fi devices etc.
We keep our fingers crossed, but we still think May 3 might be the final launch date. If launched, the phone will cost you $299.99 on a two-year contract with Verizon.
