Samsung has announced its next member of the Wave family, Samsung Wave II S8530 which is new and well improved. The Samsung Wave II S8530 is the successor to the earlier popular release Samsung Wave S8500 and is larger and brighter than its predecessor. Samsung Wave II runs on Bada mobile OS, developed by Samsung.
Looks wise it is quite similar to the Samsung Wave and in specifications too. The only difference being in the display screen size: Wave S8500 has 3.3 inch AMOLED screen, where as Samsung Wave II sports a slight larger 3.7-inch WVGA Super LCD display screen(800×480 pixel resolution).
The Wave II has also got some changes on the software side and now brings some improvements like addition of a new Swype-esque T9 input method Trace.
Samsung Wave II also features, 1 GHz Hummingbird processor chip, 5 Megapixel camera (2592 x 1944 pixels) with LED Flash and HD video recording capability, 3G, HSDPA, Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 3.0, 3.5mm headphone jack, USB 2.0 and 1500mAh battery.battery.
The new Wave II pre-installed with an in-built storage of 2GB and have micro SD slot support up to 32GB.
Price & Availability
The new Samsung Wave II S8530 smartphone was just announced and no exact details of releasing date & pricing information known yet. This device might be available from late November in Germany, pricing at €429 (approx $590). Wave II is also expected to get into European markets at the same time.
