Samsung Nexus Prime Is The First Android Ice Cream Sandwich Phone?

So what could be the first Google Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS powered mobile phone? Up till now, nothing was officially confirmed on the upcoming Ice Cream Sandwich-based mobile phone. We’re well aware that Google is planning to bring its first ever Android Ice Cream Sandwich OS powered smartphone before the end of this year. Earlier we’ve reported that next Nexus phone is expected to be having Android 4.0 OS, 4G LTE capability, and a “monster-sized” 720p display. But none of the leaked specs and sources couldn’t be able trace out that who would make the device. Now, the folks over BGR have got some more information regarding the first Android Ice Cream Sandwich OS filled smartphone. According to the source, the handset will be manufactured by Samsung, currently code named “Prime”, and it should be ‘Pure Google’ phone. It might be launched as the “Google Nexus Prime.”

BGR says that the Nexus Prime handset will be featuring ‘Super AMOLED HD’ display with 720p resolution. Beneath the display, there will be a T1 OMAP4460 application processor to power up the phone, without any specific OEM UI or preloaded software expected on the device. We’ve some more interesting news here that Google could be working with more OEMs and multiple carriers-each with its own flagship Android Ice Cream Sandwich handset, and all the handsets might be launched at the same time. It will be interesting to see the upcoming Ice Cream Sandwich flavored Android phone being released from various handset vendors at the same time through various wireless carriers.
