HTC Droid Incredible 2 Gingerbread Update 2.18.605.4 Now Available [Download]

HTC Droid Incredible 2 was launched by Verizon in late April with Android 2.2 Froyo OS. HTC and Verizon now have a surprise for you, the owners of Droid Incredible 2. HTC has officially released the Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS update for the HTC Droid Incredible 2 just after 2 months of the phone’s launch. Wasn’t that quick? The new version of the Android, v2.3 Gingerbread is now available as over-the-air (OTA) update bringing the new software version build number 2.18.605.4 to the Droid Incredible 2 handsets. Reports are coming that the update has now been pushed to all the Droid Incredible 2 handsets across the U.S starting today.

Download And Install Android 2.3 Gingerbread For HTC Droid Incredible 2:

When the update becomes available to your device, you will be notified with a notification. Click “OK” to start downloading the firmware update. The update is 116MB in size and will take approximately 15 to 20 minutes to download. Once the software (file name: HTC_ADR6350_LargeUpdate_1.34.60) gets downloaded, you will be greeted with the Software Update install notifications. Click OK to begin the software update. After receiving the first notification of the system update, you can initiate the software update process manually by heading to Menu > Settings > Software Update > Check New > the press Restart & install. The device will reboot and the software installation will begin. The instllation should ideally take not more than 5 minutes. Please note that you need to enable Wi-Fi while on roaming to receive update notification and install the update.
