Verizon’s Motorola Droid Bionic To Cost $587 Off-Contract?

Verizon’s Motorola Droid Bionic handset has been teasing us since the beginning of this year. The new revamped Motorola Droid Bionic will be releasing in September (according to Sanjay Jha during a recent earnings call) through Verizon network with LTE connectivity on the board, and other specs have been revealed out. But, we’ve been wondering whether the smartphone would packed with a 4.5 or a 4.3-inch display. But, most of the sources have been confirming the 4.3-inch display for Droid Bionic handset. Late yesterday, an handset called Motorola Droid HD, which is expected to be the Motorola’s first ever handset with 4.5-inch display with HD 1280 X 700 pixel display or it could be having qHD resolution.

Unfortunately, the carrier hasn’t confirmed the handset’s release date, and cost. It looks like, we’ve got the price value of the Droid Bionic handset. According a leaked screenshot of Verizon inventory system, the off-contract price of the Motorola Droid Bionic handset will be $587. But, the contract price tag is still mysterious to us. However, the $587 price tag is in-line with new Motorola products. The recently released Motorola Photon 4G’s off-contract price is $550. The source claims that August 26th could be the day that the Bionic finally hits the markets, which is earlier than the September launch.

For those of you that’d like a spec refresher, Motorola Droid Bionic will be sporting a 4.3” qHD display (540 X 960 pixels), dual-core CPU, Android Gingerbread OS, 8MP rear camera with 1080p video recording capability, front camera for video chat, a gigabyte of RAM to speed up the system, 16GB internal memory, 16GB microSD card preinstalled, MotoPrint support for wireless printing, Webtop apps, 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot support for up to eight devices, and more.
