[Download] HTC EVO 3D Gets Software Update 2.08.651.2 From Sprint

A few days ago, a leak has suggested that HTC EVO 3D would be getting a software update from August 18th. However, looks like it could finally be the day, as there are several reports claiming that the update is finally being pushed out for the HTC EVO 3D handsets by Sprint. There’s been no official word from Sprint, but the update rolling out today appears to be the same one we heard about previously. After installation, your EVO 3D should be running version 2.08.651.2, which contains the following fixes.

# Lockscreen now displays 3-digit temperature values properly.
# Fix for lockscreens hangs.
# Ability to send the contacts via Bluetooth connection.
# Fix for Random GPS coordinate issue.
# Spiderman Demo lockups.
# Updates for Spiderman, Watch, and Qik applications.
# Fix for Birthday one day off between contacts and Facebook when synced.
# More apps can be uninstalled by the users now.

The update is being rolled out in waves, so don’t panic if the update hasn’t yet hit your particular handset. It may take a few days to finish the roll out process. The update weighs in at 45.67 MB and it will begin to get pushed to EVO 3D devices on August 23. If you are anxious, you can force your HTC EVO 3D to check for updates manually. To make the phone manually check for updates, go to Settings –> System Updates –> HTC Software Update –> Check Now –> and hit OK and Yes buttons when prompted. After finishing the upgrade process successfully, your phone should run software version 2.08.651.2.
