In spite of the high-end spec’d, and solid hardware equipped handsets, LG has decided to bring a set of neat mid-range spec’d Android OS powered handsets this time. A few hours ago, we’ve seen the official announcement of the mid-range spec’d LG Optimus Sol handset. The folks over PocketNow have got a couple of press shots of an announced handset LG Enlighten, which is also a mid-range spec’d handset. The leaked press shots are exposing the Verizon logo on the front side of the device. With dual-core phones slowly becoming the standard, this handset could become a perfect option for budget goers, and it is also having a full slide-out physical QWERTY keyboard, which will make it easy to send the messages and e-mails very easily in a comfortable way.
This is not the first time, we are seeing the LG Enlighten handset. Previously leaked sources have already made us aware of the specifications of this handset. Specs wise, LG Enlighten has got Android 2.3 Gingerbread, a 3.2-inch HVGA 480 X 320 resolution display, an 800MHz single-core application processor, a 3.2 MP camera, 150MB of internal storage on board, a 2GB microSD card included, support for 32GB memory expansion, as we as the regular features of an Android powered handset. We should probably notify LG that they forgot the LED flash for the camera of this handset.

LG Enlighten handset has yet to be officially announced, so there is no word on the release date and the price info. According to the previous leaks, this handset might hit the Verizon shelves on August 25th at an affordable price tag of $100. As it is carrying all the low-to-mid range specifications, we guess Verizon may offer it for free, giving the users a chance to sign a two-year contract with the carrier. Who knows?
