Toshiba AT200 – The Thinnest Android Tablet Goes Official

Toshiba AT200

A couple of day ago, Samsung has launched its Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 tablet as world’s thinnest tablet, which measures 7.9mm thick. But Toshiba’s new Android tablet has beaten the Galaxy Tab 7.7. During the IFA 2011 event, Toshiba has launched the Android Honeycomb OS powered tablet – Toshiba AT200, measuring just 7.7mm thick. That means it is 0.9mm thinner than the Galaxy Tab 7.7 and it becomes the world’s thinnest Android tablet as of now. But I guess Apple will try to make the next generation iPad even thinner than that.

Toshiba AT200 runs Android 3.1 Honeycomb OS, featuring a 10.1-inch touchscreen display with a 1280 X 800 pixel of resolution, backed up by a 1.2GHz TI OMAP4430 processor under the hood, equipped with a 5 megapixel camera on the back side, an additional 2 megapixel front-facing camera for forwarding video chats, 64GB internal storage, and there will be a microUSB port, a microSD slot, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a micro-HDMI port, Adobe Flash technology and Android Market. Its battery is said to provide up to 8 hours of video playback.
