Samsung Vitality Announced On Cricket Wireless For $199.99

Samsung Vitality

Cricket Wireless has officially announced the Samsung-made Vitality, the carrier’s second ever Gingerbread powered smartphone and the first Muve Music service enabled Android smartphone for the carrier. Samsung Suede is the only other Samsung handset on Cricket to feature this service. If you couldn’t find the traces of Samsung’s TouchWiz interface in the above picture and are wondering where has it gone; It’s not there at all! That leaves us with a stock Android Gingerbread OS as you find on the Samsung Nexus S.

Samsung Vitality features a 3.5-inch HVGA display, runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread, powered by an 800MHz processor, a 3.2 megapixel camera, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, built-in GPS receiver, the Muve Music service, whole lot of Google’s services and more. The Muve Music is a premium service that sets you back at $65 per month (against $55 on the Samsung Suede) for a wireless unlimited plan (which includes unlimited talk, text, web and music services). There is also a special 4GB SanDisk microSD card that supports up to 3000 songs included in the box. However 1GB of this memory has been reserved for other multimedia content like photos and videos. Using the Muve Music app, users can download thousands of tracks directly to their phone over the carrier’s 3G network (the app doesn’t work on Wi-Fi though).

Pricing And Availability:

Samsung Vitality for Cricket Wireless will cost you $199.99 after a $20 instant rebate on the full retail price ($219.99) without a contract.
