A few hours ago, Apple has released iTunes 10.5 beta 8 version for the registered developers. The new beta version of  iTunes 10.5 is carrying the support for iTunes Match like the previous beta. Along with the iTunes 10.5 beta 8, Apple has also released the iWork for iOS beta 3. Interestingly, Apple hasn’t outed the 8th beta version of iOS 5 yet.  Please note that iTunes 10.5 beta 8 is not compatible with previous releases of iOS. The registered developer with Apple, can download the iTunes 10.5 beta 8 right now from Apple developer’s portal. Earlier, Apple has released the iOS 5 beta 7 for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices.

Apple has stated the following changes to take place with iTunes 10.5 beta 8:

# The ‘Scan and match’ service isn’t fully ready yet.
# Some songs may not be recognized as matches even if they are on the iTunes store and will be uploaded to iTunes Match regardless of their status.
# Songs with unsupported formats will be not be uploaded to iCloud this time.
# Users can add music to iCloud only from more than one computer at a time.
# After updating to iOS 5 beta 7, if the music may fail to play, turn off iTunes Match in Settings –> Music and turn it back on.
# Users can back up their devices to iCloud right from iTunes itself.

What Is iTunes Match?

Apple’s iTunes Match service will let the users to store their entire music collection, including music they have ripped from a CD or purchased or downloaded from elsewhere. With the help of the new ‘iTunes Match’ tab, this service automatically scans the music library and checks your digital music files in contrast to Apple’s 18 million plus music library. iTunes Match is set to launch this fall with iOS 5. iOS 5 is the next major revision to Apple’s software for iPhone, iPod, Apple TV and iPad devices.
