In late September 28th, Microsoft has started rolling out its most awaited Windows Phone 7.5 update, codenamed “Mango” for its Windows Phones portfolio across the globe. 50 percent of Windows Phones have already successfully upgraded to the Mango flavor. Amid some other big news today, Windows Phone Blog has announced that Mango juices started flowing out of Redmond can for the AT&T branded HTC HD7S Windows Phone. The new Windows Phone 7.5 Mango update will bring over 500 new features for the platform including the following:
# Messaging threads to integrate text, Facebook chat, and Windows Live Messenger within the same conversation.
# The ability to group contacts into live tiles to easily see status updates and send messages.
# Contact cards now feature integrated Twitter and LinkedIn feeds.
# A linked inbox to combine all of your email accounts at once.
# Improved live tiles to provide real-time info and can be more dynamic than before.
# Multitasking support that will help improve battery life and performance.
# Internet Explorer 9 – includes HTML5 support and hardware acceleration.
# Local Scout – brings “hyperlocal search results” and can recommend restaurants, shopping, etc.
# Bing on Windows Phone, including Bing Vision, Bing Music Search, and Bing Voice.
# Quick Cards – to will provide relevant info (included related apps) about a product, movie, event, or place.
The Mango update is expected to bring the new updated firmware, which includes the compass feature, selective focus and general performance enhancements.

The AT&T HTC HD7S users can look for updates by plugging their handsets into PC, opening Zune, then going to Settings –> Phone –> Update or you can wait for a message to pop-up on your screen letting you know that an update is available. Follow teh following instruction to pull the update successfully.
Download Microsoft Zune Software (hit the link) if you are using a Windows PC machine.
Mac users should download the Windows Phone Connector (hit the link) and install it on their machines.
Connect your Windows Phone to the machine and launch Zune software or Mac Connector for Mac.
Look for updates by by moving over to PC –> open Zune, then go to Settings –> Phone –> Update. (In Windows Phone Connector, look for the “Install Updates” button).
Follow the on-screen instructions and let the upgrading process to keep running until you see a notification that the update is complete. If you don’t see an update available right away, be patient and know that it’s on its way.
