Android ice Cream Sandwich For Moto RAZR In Early 2012

Good news for those who are looking forward to the super-thin Motorola RAZR smartphone, which is set to be launched with Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread inside. Alain Mutricy, Motorola’s senior vice president of portfolio and product management, confirmed that the Motorola RAZR will be upgrading to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS early next year. Motorola RAZR isn’t having NFC technology, so Android Beam feature from Ice Cream Sandwich will not be operational. Google unveiled the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS during the last night’s Samsung Galaxy Nexus launch event. Moto has confirmed about ICS OTA update for Motorola RAZR, but not for the Droid RAZR, which was set to be released released on Verizon LTE network.

The Moto RAZR will be available to purchase from November 1 for £379 (or $600). Verizon has yet to announce about Android ICE Cream Sandwich OTA update availability for its exclusive Motorola Droid RAZR handset. Pre-orders for the phone will begin on October 27th and it will be available in stores in November for $299.99 with a new two-year contract. Check out the promo videos after the break.
