Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime Hits FCC

Yet-to-be announced Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime is claiming to be the first Android tablet equipped with the quad-core processor. Yes. the tear down treatment of the Asus Eee Pad Transformer tablet has also revealed the Nvidia Tegra 3 Kal-El quad-core processor located under the hood. Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime has made its way through the FCC bearing the model number TF201, getting the approval for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth functionality. There’s no word LTE support for the tablet. It seems that the FCC has done all the testing procedures and gave the device blessing to proceed to get official announcement on November 9th, next Wednesday. Finally, it’s good to hear that there is a Tegra 3 processor hiding under the hood, which has been the talk of the town over the last few months for its speed and power efficiency, delivering better graphics and less power consumption. More over, we are also hearing that the Asus Transformer Prime’s battery life last up to 14 hours of usage time.

Most of the specs of the Transformer Prime haven’t been revealed out yet. But, as already reported, it’s only 8.3mm thick. FYI, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus is 8.84mm and the Apple iPad 2 is 8.8mm. Transformer Prime sports Transformer Prime has a 10.1 inch display, full USB and mini HDMI ports, microSD card slot and of course it will shipped with the newly unveiled Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS. Transformer Prime can also docked into a keyboard just like the original Transformer.
