Verizon’s Samsung Illusion Announced Officially For $79.99; Free From Nov.24 to Nov.28

Verizon has yet to announce the most awaited Samsung Galaxy Nexus phone. Meanwhile, Verizon has officially announced the latest low-end Android phone called, Samsung Illusion. This handset must be perfect choice for the shoppers who are not looking for top-notching high-end spec’d Verizon’s LTE phones, but looking for the much affordable with lower-end hardware. The Illusion contains recycled materials in its construction and packaging. Samsung Illusion for Verizon Wireless will cost $79.99 with a new two-year contract and will be available form today, November 23rd, only on Verizon website. It will be avail;able to pick up from all the Verizon’s retail markets in January of next year, 2012. We can expect to see much much affordable price offerings for this handset from the third party retailer. Don’t be surprised if the Illusion will be offered for free on contract. Of course, the Samsung Illusion will be available for free with a new two-year customer agreement between Thursday, Nov. 24 and Monday, Nov. 28 as a online promotion. The Samsung Illusion runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, powered by a 1GHz Samsung Hummingbird single-core processor, equipped with a 3-megapixel camera, a 2GB microSD card with memory expansion scope for up to 32GB, 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, support for sharing its 3G connection as a mobile hotspot. The rear casing and battery cover of the phone are made from 70% post-consumer material and 35% of the front-face is made from recycled materials. 60% of the phone’s box is also made from recycled paper.
