While we are waiting for LG to announce the AT&T’ branded LG Nitro HD aka LG Optimus LTE at an event in NYC on December 1st, Canadian wireless carrier, Bell has launched the LG Optimus LTE handset. This is the first handset with HD display technology for Canadian customers. It costs $149.95 on a new three-year contract with the carrier and ranges up to $629.95 without any need to sign a contract agreement. Bell’s version of the LG Optimus LTE handset sports the same hardware and specs as that of the Korean’s version of the Optimus LTE.

Bell branded LG Optimus LTE runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread, but an upgrade for Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS is expected to roll out in next year. Other features are including 4.5-inch HD display with 1280 X 720 pixels of configuration, a powerful 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 2GB of internal storage, microSD card slot for memory expansion up to 32GB, Bluetooth 3.0, 8MP rear camera with 1080p video recording, a 1.3MP front-facing camera, an 1830mAh battery, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi, Android Market and much more.

Bell-made LG Optimus LTE handset is also having 21Mbps 4G HSPA+ connectivity, as well as the lTE connectivity with support of download speeds of up to 75 Mbps, but you should really expect “average speeds of 12–25 Mbps”.
