Asus Padfone – the smartphone/tablet combo was first supposed to released in 2011, later it pushed to release in early 2012 by January month. But, we also heard that the company is delaying the Asus Padfone for February/March 2012. A latest rumor is being claimed by Engadget source, that the Padfone will be showcased in MWC 2012 event, which will be scheduled from February 27 to March 1. The source has also presented an exciting news that the Asus Padfone will be carrying the new hardware and new software – including a quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor, running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS. The Transformer Prime from Asus is the first tablet to feature both the quad-core chipset, Android 4.0 ICS, which is ready hit the markets in a few days.

The Asus Padfone is a 10-1-inch tablet that docks a 4.3-inch smartphone inside, while the latter can also power the tablet. Both the handset and the tablet will be able to use data from a single SIM card. The Padfone is definitely a greater and cheaper solution than buying both a phone and a tablet individually.

We can guess that the Asus Padfone may not be available to purchase until mid-May or early June 2012.
