Sony’s 2012 Smartphones Pricing and Roadmap Leaked Online

Looks like Sony has planned to release more than 12 smartphones this year. A roadmap leaked online showing off the launching dates and price tags of the Sony’s upcoming smartphones, which will be launched in 2012. According to the sources, these reports leaked through Sony’s sales report in India, referring to the main prices for the Indian market and the same price values will be applicable for U.S. and U.K. markets.

The list contains some unknown devices and there are a few handsets, that we already knew about. According to the roadmap, the newly announced Sony Xperia S handset will be priced at Rs. 29,900 (~ $590) and it will be launched in March. We’ve been hearing about LT22i ‘Nypon’, ST25i Kumquat and MT27i ‘Pepper ‘. Earlier, we reported about the MT27i Pepper’s appearance on NenaMark website and it is being listed with $395 price for with April launch. According to the NenaMark benchmark database, MT27i Pepper is believed to equipped with ST-Ericsson chipset clocked at 1GHz. We’re also aware of the ‘Hayabusa’, which is a codename for the LT29i handset and it is rumored to be looking similar to Xperia Arc or Arc S.

Other handsets are including Olive I, Tapioca, Tapioca DS, Lotus, Atlas I, AFFM, and Mint I. All the aforementioned handsets will be shipped with Android OS. With MWC event only a few weeks away, we will learn more about some of these handsets for sure.
