Amazon has started pushing out a new firmware update for its first-ever Android tablet – Kindle Fire. The new firmware update will bumps Kindle Fire’s software version up to v6.2.2. The update will be rolled out through OTA (Over-The-Air) process and a manual installation process is also available. Here is the list of the changes that are coming along with the software update v6.2.2:

# Enhances fluidity and performance.
# Improves support for manually setting up e-mail providers in the e-mail app.
# Addition of full-screen browsing.

To check for OTA update, Amazon Kindle Fire users need to follow the instructions provided here at below:

# Quick Settings icon in the upper right corner of your device.
# Tap “Sync” button.
# Now the software update will be automatically downloaded,

You can also download the v6.2.2 software update manually by following the instructions at below:

# Download update-kindle-6.2.2_D01E_3205220 (hit the link) from Amazon.

Attach the fully charged Kindle Fire tablet to a PC machine.
# Copy the downloaded file from your PC to the “kindleupdates” folder on your Kindle Fire.
# Disconnet your Kindle Fire from PC.
# Head over to Quick Settings at the top of the screen.
# Now choose More –> and tap Update your Kindle.
# Let it to do the upgrade process.
# Kindle Fire will restart a couple times.
