Good news for the Sprint branded Samsung Epic 4G owners, who are eagerly looking forward to upgrade their handsets to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS. But, both the carrier and the manufacturer have yet to announce their plans bringing the official Android 4.0 ICS ROM for the Samsung Epic 4G handset. If you can’t wait for the official ROM to get get released, you can now port an unofficial ICS OM on your handset. Thanks to the hardworking Android developer QBKing77. Android 4.0.3 ICS based CyanogenMod 9 Alpha 1 ROM is now available for the Samsung Epic 4G handset.
Most of the features are working with this build, including the hardware 3D acceleration. 4G WiMax, Wi-Fi, Camera and more. Take a look at full list of the working features, bugs, non-working features here.

As this is an unofficial build, this will most likely contain many bugs. But, if that issue doesn’t bother you, you can download the CyanogenMod 9 Alpha 0 for Samsung Epic 4G handset from the following link provided here.
