Huawei MediaPad 4G Hits AT&T On February 3rd

Huawei and AT&T have officially announced their plans to launch the yesteryear’s Huawei MediaPad tablet. This is the first tablet with Android 3.2 Honeycomb OS launched in last year. Back in November, 2011, the same tablet has been launched as T-Mobile Springboard via T-Mobile network. It’s now official that the Huawei MediaPad is set to hit the AT&T markets on February 3rd for only to enterprise and business accounts. Good news is that AT&T branded Huawei MediaPad tablet will behaving 4G LTE (that’s HSPA+) connectivity under the hood.

At CES 2012 event, Huawei mentioned that Android 4.0 ICS filled Huawei MediaPad tablets will be shipped this year, but the AT&T version is coming with Android 3.2 Honeycomb OS out-of-the-box. It features  a 7-inch IPS display with 1280 X 800 pixels of resolution, a dual-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz, 1GB of RAM, 5MP front and 1.3MP rear facing cameras, 1080p HD video capturing capability, 1080p video playback, Wi-Fi with AT&T Hotspots, micro-HDMI, 8GB of internal storage, micro-SD for memory expansion up to 32GB, micro USB 2.0 and a battery good for around six hours of life.

Huawei will be upgrading all the existing Huawei MediaPad devices with Android 4.0.x ice Cream Sandwich by the end of the first quarter of this year. There is no official word on consumer-friendly version of the Huawei MediaPad tablet and the price info of the tablet.
