The New Apple iPad Vs. Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1): Specs Comparison
A few hours ago, we published an article about the specs comparison between the The new iPad and Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 tablets. With the iPad 3 having been officially announced today, we are comparing the latest and greatest Android tablets and Apple’s latest sequel of the iPad. In this article, we pit the iPad 3 against the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), which has been announced prior to the MWC 2012 event. Apple iPad 3 should be considered as the best tablet to buy right now for sure. If you’re a happy Android fan, you’ll go for the Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1). But if you’re open to both the iOS and Android platforms, you have a tough decision to make.
The New Apple iPad
The New Apple iPad is one of the most pixel-packed tablet, which has got a 9,7-inch Retina Display with 2048x1536p resolution, 264ppi, an improved A5X dual-core processor with quad-core graphics, a 5-megapixel backside illuminated sensor with five-element lens,infra-red filter, 1080p video recording capability, 4G LTE capability with speeds of 3.1Mbps on EV-DO, 7.2 on HSPA. It lasts up to 10 hours on GSM operation and 9 hours on 4G LTE. The new Apple iPad is 9.4 mm thick and weighs 652 g (Wi-Fi-only) / 662 grams (Wi-Fi+4G). Apple claims that graphics are 4 times faster than what’s inside an Nvidia Tegra 3. The new iPad has also got iPhoto for iOS and updated iMovie app as well as new versions of Infinity Blade – Dungeons and Sketchbook Ink.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1)
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) is a slightly upgraded version of the yesteryear’s original Galaxy Tab 10.1 with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS installed inside and not much else.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) spots a 10.1" PLS LCD capacitive touchscreen of WXGA resolution (1280 x 800 pixels), 1GHz dual-core processor, Samsung’s TouchWiz UI, 3.2 MP autofocus camera with HD video recording capability, 16/32GB of inbuilt storage, expandable via a microSD card slot, 21 Mbps HSDPA and HSUPA 5.76 Mbps support, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Assisted GPS, Bluetooth 3.0, Gyro sensor, Adobe Flash Player 11 support, DivX/XviD support, TV-out (adapter required), USB host (via an adapter), 7000mAh battery to power everything and there’s a VGA front-facing camera for video calling.
