We already heard a lot of rumors about the Apple iPhone 5 handset since last year prior to the Apple iPhone 4S handset. Now, we are back with the latest on the iPhone 5 rumors. A lot of rumors keep coming in and different sources are starting to agree on some key specs. Like all rumors, take the latest one as a grain of salt, but it’s quiet exciting for us.
The Korean Maeli Business Newspaper is claiming that the next iteration of the Apple handset, the iPhone 5 will sport a bigger and sharper 4.6-inch Retina Display. The source always brings the unbelievable news about Samsung and LG devices. The source has also mentioned that Samsung and LD are already receiving the orders for it and the new screen will cost $3 more expensive than the old one.
It is also being rumored that the Apple iPhone 5 handset will be unveiling in the 2nd quarter of this year, that’s exactly 9 months after the iPhone 4S handset was launched. Since the new iPad (3rd iteration of iPad) is having dedicated 4G LTE variants for Verizon and AT&T networks, we can guess that the next iPhone will include support for 4G LTE data. AppleInsider website claims that according to Barclays Bank analysts, Apple is testing the Qualcomm’s “MDM9615” LTE radio for the next iPhone handset, which supports both voice and data connections on high-speed 4G networks. Apple has prepared some text strings for using on the new iPad and the code strings in iOS 5.1 will ask you “Enabling 4G will end your phone call. Are you sure you want to enable 4G?” See, Apple is using “LTE” term instead of “4G” term. Apple iPhone 5 is expected to feature a faster processor, a larger display and a unibody aluminum case.

Great posts here. You always seem to be at the forefront of the mobile phone news. Quick question: I am considering getting the 4S without a contract and at $649. Based on the pricing of the past models that were unlocked and without contract, do you think the next one that comes out will also be that price with the older models dropping as well? Also, what’s your guess on the rear camera tech? Mine is they will stick with the 8MP back-illuminated sensor since Apple seems to be doing upgrades with only one or two new features at a time. Thanks!
