Both the Virgin Mobile and Boost Mobile have announced their first 4G WiMX powered handsets HTC EVO V 4G and HTC EVO Design 4G respectively for pay-as-you-go market. Both the handsets will use Sprint’s 4G WiMAX network. Virgin Mobile’s HTC EVO V 4G is almost identical to yesteryear’s Sprint branded HTC EVO 3D handset, while the Boost Mobile’s HTC EVO Design 4G is the same handsets from Sprint. There aren’t any hardware changes made to the handsets, but both will be shipped with Android 4.0 ICS OS put-of-the box.

Both the HTC EVO V 4G and HTC EVO Design 4G handsets will kick things off with their WiMAX connectivity on their new networks from May 31st. Each handset will set you back $299.99 without the need for any subscription on a 2-year carrier agreement with the carriers.
Boost Mobile’s 4G data plan starts at $55 per month with unlimited texts and nationwide calls. They will charge $40 after 18 months. Virgin Mobile plans start at $35 per month for 300 minutes of talk time and unlimited texting.
