Asus Transformer Pad 300TL Hits FCC

So far the Wi-Fi only edition of the Asus Transformer Pad 300 tablet has arrived at stores and the manufacturer has also released the bootloader unlock tool. It seems the Taiwanese manufacturer is prepping to release a 4G LTE variant of the Transformer Pad 300 series. An announced tablet called Asus Transformer Pad 300TL strolled its way through the FCC labs, cluing us that device will be announced sooner rather than later.

FCC documents have revealed that the Asus Transformer Pad 300 TL is having AT&T 4G LTE radio compatibility. We don’t know whether or not there is a Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core processor under the hood as the Wi-Fi edition of the TF300 tablet. As you might already know that Tegra 3 chip doesn’t support LTE radio. However, the Transformer Pad 300TL could be the first Asus-made 4G LTE Android tablet to hit the U.S. store shelves. It is expected to ship with Android 4.0 ICS OS, 10.1-inch display (1280*800 pixels).

FCC documents have also mentioned that the Asus Transformer Pad 300TL features GSM and WCDMA 3G connectivity, Bluetooth, GPS, 802.11 Wi-Fi b/g/n, an SD card slot for memory expansion up to 32GB, HDMI output, 3.5mm headphone jack.

In another news, the Wi-Fi version of the high-end spec’d Asus Transformer Pad Infinity tablet has also appeared at FCC (pictured below), which was announced at this year’s CES event. Asus Transformer Pad infinity is the same Tegra 3 chip equipped Transformer Prime tablet. But the Pad Infinity series will feature the 10.1-inch 1080p display, while the Prime features 1280 X 800 pixel display.
