Since a couple of days ago, HTC begun rolling out the new firmware update Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich build for the AT&T branded HTC One X handset, bumping software version up to 2.20.502.7. The size for this OTA 270MB. If you own an HTC One X and haven’t been upgraded yet or received an update notification yet, you can always try to check your luck from your handset’s settings menu. Or else if you don’t want to wait for the update notification, and you’re feeling more than a little adventurous, a new RUU is available for you.

HTC has posted the Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich RUU file for the latest firmware of the HTC One X handset. It’s a .exe file. The build number in the RUU matches up with latest firmware 2.20.502.7. You can download the full RUU (568MB) from the below link.

The latest firmware update now lets you use the Recent Apps button as a menu button with three simple choices – Open recent apps, press for menu and long press for recent apps, or press for recent apps and long press for menu. So, you will no longer see that soft menu key at the bottom of the screen in apps that wasn’t optimized for the Holo theme.
