Here it is guys. At its event in San Francisco, Apple’s Phil Schiller has finally announced the next-gen iPhone, The iPhone 5. The new iPhone is made of glass and aluminium. According to Apple, the new iPhoen 5 is the world’s thinnest smartphone – 18% thinner than the iPhone 4S and it weighs 112 grams. That means it is 20% lighter than the 4S. It will ship with the latest iOS 6, which comes inbuilt with many features including great satellite imagery, a search engine in to find over 100m POIs and more.
iPhone 5 has got a new connector called “Lightning,” which can be plugged in either way and it is 80%smaller than the older connector.

According to Apple, it sports world’s most advanced display and they said the touch sensors are integrated right into the display itself. Graphics will look excellent and you will observe lots of nice shades and reflection. With the help of the new chip inside, pages will launch to launch 2.1X faster than before and keynote attachments load 1.7X faster. Apple invented enhanced signal processing techniques with the A6, so you will see further increases in picture quality. You can also capture photos while shooting video. In Panorama mode, you need to sweep the scene vertically to get the most resolution, then just swing your phone to capture the wide snaps. Facebook likes will be integrated in every entry. With iCloud, you can now can download all your content wirelessly. Safari browser will let you to go into full screen mode.
The iPhone 5 provides 8 hours of 3G or LTE talk time or browsing. 10 hours on Wi-Fi browsing.
10 hours of video playback, 40 hours of music playback and 225 hours of standby time. Pretty impressive!
The iPhone 5 will be available in the following countries:
U.S. : Verizon, AT&T and Sprint. No luck for T-Mobile again.
Canada: Rogers, Telus, Bell, Fido, Virgin
Asia: KDDI SoftBan, KT, SK telecom, SmartTone
In Europe, it’ll be available on DT and EE (Everything Everywhere)
