Samsung Galaxy Note II Hitting All 5 Major U.S. Carriers By Mid-November; Features Quad-Core Exynos And LTE

If you are waiting in anticipation for the Samsung Galaxy Note II phablet to land in the United States, it will be coming next month with some specifications that haven’t changed from the first time we talked about it. Samsung has officially confirmed that the new Samsung Galaxy Note II super phone will be landing on all the 5 major carriers in the United States, including AT&T, Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile. Good news is that U.S. Cellular also gets into action for the Galaxy Note II. And yeah, new Flip Covers with cool colors will be available for the new phablet. We’ve already seen many leaks and rumors which indicated the launch of the Note II on Verizon, AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile networks in the U.S.

Hitting the respective carriers by mid-November, the new 2nd gen Galaxy Note would not get unique names for its various providers.

The Samsung Galaxy Note II is powered by Samsung’s own quad-core Exynos processor clocked at 1.6GHz with support for LTE radio, boasts a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED HD display with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels, Wacom inductive technology for convenient use of a pressure-sensitive S Pen, 2GB RAM. An 8MP camera on the back capable of taking 1080p HD videos, 1.9MP camera along the front for HD recording support, 16GB onboard storage with memory expansion support up to 64GB via microSD cards, as well as 42Mbps HSPA+ connectivity. Galaxy Note II packs a 3,100 mAh battery under its back cover and it will ship with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS, which is first time for a Samsung-made Android device.

Samsung has introduced a revamped, slightly thicker and longer S Pen stylus for the Note II. An exclusive feature called Air View lets the S Pen to preview content by simply hovering over things like emails, videos and images. The new S Pen also works with Easy Clip, Quick Command, Idea Sketch and Photo Notes apps. Other exclusive features are including Share Shot, S Beam, Popup Video, Burst Shot, and Allshare.
