There have been numerous rumors about the pricing of Lenovo Think Tablet 2 featuring Windows 8. This piece of news marked an end to those rumors. The new Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet 2 was initially speculated to be priced between $600 and $700.

But as WPCentral reported, the forthcoming Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet 2 will be rolling out with Windows 8 on October 26th for $799 including Keyboard. The price might be high for some but it is sensible as it includes the optional keyboard and full Office 2013 suite installed. Well without these accessories, the price may be quite less.

The interesting features in the Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet 2 is that it features Windows 8 Pro, a 10.1” 1, 366 x 768 IPS display, alleged battery with 10 hours battery life, 2MP cameras in the front and 8MP cameras in the rear, stream wireless video, AT&T LTE, NFC, USB ports, fingerprint scanner etc.

We are not sure of the processor, but it is rumored to be Intel’s Clover Trail at 1.8GHz clock speed. And it is not yet known whether the optional dock with a HDMI out port, three USB ports, and an Ethernet port are included or not with the price of $799.

The Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet 2 is designed in favor of enterprise users but not for general customers, leading to its high price. In the August press release it was reported that with the presences of its aesthetics and powerful features in the tablet, IT managers will particularly enjoy the tablet’s security-enhanced technologies and manageability.

The tablet is going to launch through AT&T in the U.S. and will be capable to jump on the carrier’s LTE in the 4G model. Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet 2 is launching on 26th October.
