ZTE Render Now Available From U.S. Cellular For $79 After $100 mail-in-rebate

ZTE Render

U.S. Cellular is now selling the ZTE Render handset, which is also known as ZTE Orbit that was first announced by the manufacturer at this year’s MWC event in February. ZTE Render runs on Microsoft developed Windows Phone 7.5 Refresh OS, codenamed Tango. Render is the second Windows Phone for the carrier, while the HTC 7 Pro was the first WP product that made its way to U.S. Cellular.

Brief specifications of ZTE Render:

# Ships with Windows Phone 7.5 Tango 2 (Build 8779)
# 4-inch WVGA display with 480 X 800 pixels of resolution
# 1GHz MSM7627A single-core processor
# 512MB RAM
# 4GB storage (very less and a big disappointment..of course, no microSD card slot)
# 1600mAh battery
# 5 megapixel rear camera with auto focus
# micro USB 2.0, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi hotspot

It is worth noting that Tango OS running devices will be upgradeable to Windows Phone 7.8 OS in the coming months. Interested users can grab the ZTE Render handset from U.S. Cellular for $79.99 with a two-year contract and $100 mail-in rebate. That’s not a good deal for a feature phone like ZTE Render. They should have offer it for free on contract. Anyhow, if you are still itching, hit the below link to it a try.
