Asus Padfone 2 is expected to launch on the coming 16th October, which is good news. Now further interesting news is that before the launch of this phone, detailed specs have been leaked. According to the leak, Padfone 2 is expected to be powered by 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor with 2 GB of RAM. It is also expected to feature 4.7-inch display with a 1280×720 resolution, a powerful rear camera of 13MP and a 2,140mAh battery.
And also from another rumor, GSM 1900/850 MHz, WCDMA 2100 MHz, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC are also expected in the upcoming Asus Padfone 2. But the OS of the Padfone is still unknown after the specs leaked whilst according to Antutu database, the ASUS Padfone 2 is expected to come with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
Through a series of optional docking stations, this Android Padfone 2 can transform into a tablet, notebook, or even desktop computer. Such things can be done by adding a tablet dock to use the Padfone with a larger display, adding a keyboard dock to the tablet to use the system like a laptop and by dropping the Padfone into a monitor dock to use it like a desktop. To boost the functionality of the Padfone USB ports, own batteries and other features can be included to the docks.
As reported ASUS has indicated launch of Padfone 2 on October 16th in Milan, Italy and Taipei, Taiwan.
