The launch of the Nokia Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 handsets might be imminent, it’s nice to see the Finnish mobile maker hasn’t completely forgotten its low-range line of budget-priced phones, even if the company does have about a million of them. Nokia is now rolling out a new software update for the Nokia Lumia 610 windows phone.
Don’t get excited as it is not the much-touted Windows Phone 7.8 update, which includes some of the highlight features of the Windows Phone 8 build. It’s a just a minor update, bringing improved system performance for the Nokia Lumia 610 handset. The update also delivers improved camera functionality, and usability and it should make the handset faster and more responsive.
Unfortunately, Nokia hasn’t promised a specific date for when the update will start rolling out. Nokia has noted that the update will be distributed on a country-by country basis. The update should start rolling out very soon. So, be sure to check for the update using Zune program by connecting your handset to your PC.
