The iPad Mini buzz and rumors are not in ending mood. Earlier we reported that Apple reportedly ordered 10 million units from its suppliers and we had also shown you leaked iPad mini Part Photos. It was also rumored that Apple is expected to send out invites today for a October 17 Launch event of the iPad Mini.

Now the latest rumor reported by the trustable “The Guardian” is that iPad Mini will be Wi-Fi-only like the Nexus 7 to reduce production costs and keep the device in the mid-range to compete with other tablets in the range.

Apple’s smaller iPad is expected to feature a 7.85-inch screen to compete against smaller tablets, such as Amazon’s Kindle Fire HD and Google’s Nexus 7, both costs $199. It may have a lower resolution -meaning it might not include Apple’s Retina Display technology.

Charles Arthur of The Guardian reported “Industry sources indicated to the Guardian that they do not expect to see 3G-capable versions of the iPad mini. That would allow Apple to produce it comparatively cheaply and to limit the top price of the product, while retaining mobile broadband connectivity for its pricier iPad line.”

The Guardian also reports that the new revised iPad 3 will also be upgraded with support International LTE frequencies for mobile broadband access like the iPhone 5. It will reportedly support the new Lightning connector as well.
