LG Spectrum 2 Now Available on Verizon For $99 After Mail-In-Rebate

A few days ago, Best Buy has listed the new LG Spectrum 2 handset on its website, but there was so sign of any press release for the handset from Verizon headquarters. Finally, Verizon Wireless has officially announced the new Spectrum 2 handset, made by LG, which is the successor of the yesteryear’s 1st gen LG Spectrum handset.

The Spectrum 2 handset is a solid mid ranger Android phone, featuring the following highlights:

Verizon hasn’t provided any info regarding the future update of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for the Spectrum 2 handset. Recently launched mid-range spec’d Motorola Droid RAZR M is set to get Jelly Bean by the end of this year.

LG Spectrum is now available online and in-stores for $99.99 after a $50 mail-in-rebate on a two-year contract with Verizon network. The carrier has the device’s full retail price set at $499.99.
