Evidence of 64GB Google Nexus 10 Emerges

Evidence of 64GB Google Nexus 10

A couple of days ago, Google has officially announced the new Nexus products including LG-made Nexus 4 and Samsung-made Nexus 10 tablet and Android team has also shared the new features of the latest Android 4.2 Jelly Bean build. Google confirmed that Nexus 4 will be available in 8GB and 16GB editions, while the nexus 10 will ship either in 16GB or in 32GB edition. For the customers who wan to carry more media content on their tablets, we’ve good news for you. It seems Google might also have a 64GB Nexus 10 lined up for the users in the near future.

Thanks to Samsung Korea for leaking the indication of the 64GB Nexus 10 tablet. On the tablet’s promotional specs sheet image, The manufacturer has noted 64GB storage option, alongside the 16GB and 32GB storage options. Unfortunately, the upcoming Google Nexus 10 is lacking microSD card slot for further memory expansion, and it very difficult to stomach the lack of memory expansion. So this hint from Samsung Korea could be a great news for Android community and it could be in response to the new Apple iPad 4 which costs $699 for its 32GB version.

Yesterday, Matias Duarte took to Google+ and answered questions about lack of SD cards in Nexus devices:

Everybody likes the idea of having an SD card, but in reality it’s just confusing for users.

If you’re saving photos, videos or music, where does it go? Is it on your phone? Or on your card? Should there be a setting? Prompt everytime? What happens to the experience when you swap out the card? It’s just too complicated.

We take a different approach. Your Nexus has a fixed amount of space and your apps just seamlessly use it for you without you ever having to worry about files or volumes or any of that techy nonsense left over from the paleolithic era of computing.

With a Nexus you know exactly how much storage you get upfront and you can decide what’s the right size for you. That’s simple and good for users.

If you need a specs refresher, Nexus 10 packs a 10-inch display with stunning 2560x1600p resolution and 300 PPI, Samsung’s very own 1.7GHz Exynos A15 dual-core processor, 2GB RAM, 5MP main camera, and of course it runs Android 4.2 out of the box from Google Play Store on November 13th for $399(16GB) and $499 (32GB).
