Samsung has posted the open source files for Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, Galaxy Tab 2 7.0, and AT&T Galaxy Note II devices. The listing indicates these are files for Android 4.1 Jelly bean on these devices.
Earlier, we reported that the first Android Jelly Bean 4.1.1 update for Samsung Galaxy S III started rolling starting from Poland in September. It was rumored that the update will be starting from October but it was good that it started rolling out earlier than expected. At that time, the update was being initially pushed out through Samsung Kies Software rather than OTA. Interestingly the official Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean OTA was leaked for both Samsung galaxy Tab 2 7.0 and Samsung galaxy Note 10.1 tablet bearing the same build number: JRO03C in September.
Samsung has previously indicated Jelly Bean would be coming to the Galaxy Tab 2 devices, but no firm dates have been set.The release of these files appear to imply official action is about to happen. Sprint is going to launch a 4G LTE version of this device on November 11.
