As promised earlier by Motorola, the new Motorola Droid RAZR M is being now upgraded to Jelly Bean build before this year’s end. The Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update has begun to roll out to Motorola RAZR M handsets in the UI.S. Verizon confirmed the update is rolling out now, but “in phases,” and the roll out process should complete over the next week. The update bumps the build number up to 98.12.4.XT907.Verizon.en.US. It is not carrying any of the Android 4.2 goodies.

The new firmware is a major update, file size weighs in at 2547MB. You will get the following features, updated apps, and various changes along with the update:

So, if you own a Moto Droid RAZR M handset and haven’t yet received Jelly Bean for your handset, don’t panic. You can check for update manually by heading into Settings –> About phone –> System updates –> Download and follow the on-screen instructions to finish the upgrading process. The update is quite large so users are required to download the update via a proper Wi-Fi connection.
