Verizon HTC Droid DNA Now Available

As promised earlier, the new 5-inch HTC DROID DNA handset can be now purchased in Verizon stores and online. It costs $199.99 with your signature on a two-year contract agreement or it goes for $599.99, without any need to sign the contract papers with the carrier. HTC Droid DNA is the world’s first 1080p phone and it ships with 5″ 1080p FHD (1920×1080) Super LCD 3 display with a pixel density of 440ppi screen, a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz, paired up with 2GB of RAM. It also offers 4G LTE connectivity, an 8MP camera with HTC’s ImageChip tech, 2.1MP 88°ultra-wide-angle front-facing shooter, video chat in full HD, a non-removable 2,020mAh battery, Beats audio, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, wireless charging capability, and comes Android 4.1 Jelly Bean installed with HTC Sense 4.0+ UI on top of it and there’s no microSD card slot.

Sadly, the HTC Droid DNA handset is no longer compatible with HTC’s official bootloader tool. According to the XDA Forum members, the HTCDev bootloader obviously not working with Droid DNA handset in terms of unlocking via the website. Of course, the upcoming custom ROMs will be flooding in to unlock this beast in the near future.
