Verizon has also implemented some changes to the Android 4.1 build. It will bring the improved voice and data connectivity, improved Wi-Fi/Bluetooth/Mobile Hotspot connectivity, improved user experience in the calendar, and Back Up Assistant, addition of Amazon apps. The Droid RAZR handsets have shipped with Ice Cream Sandwich preinstalled, and the manufacturer has promised to provide the Jelly Bean update by the end of this year. They’ve also offered a $100 credit for the RAZR HD/HD MAXX owners if they wouldn’t keep their promise. Earlier this month, the Jelly Bean update was made available for the Droid RAZR M handset as build 98.12.4.

Both these devices sport same hardware, including a 4.7-inch HD display, 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, 1GB RAM, 4G LTE capability, 8MP camera and more. But, the Droid RAZR MAXX HD has got amore powerful battery than the RAZR HD.

The approved Jelly Bean first goes out to initial testers in the coming days and then it pushes out to the masses. Owners of the Droid RAZR HD and MAXX HD should expect the update to roll out in the next week, as indicated by the carrier. You can find more details on Jelly Bean here on this page.
