[Download] Verizon Droid RAZR HD/MAXX HD Android 4.1 Update Being Served Up Now

Earlier last week, Verizon announced it would begin rolling out the most awaited Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for the Motorola Droid RAZR HD and Droid RAZR MAXX HD handsets. As it promised earlier, the carrier has flipped the switch on to push out the Jelly Bean build for both handsets, as an automatic over-the-air update. The system version bumped up to 9.1.41.

The latest firmware brings Google Now, NFC One-Touch pairing support, camera enhancements such as low-light photo mode. It also includes Project Butter, enhanced notification, improved keyboard, rearranging widgets on the home screen no longer requires manual repositioning. Verizon has also  specifically added of Amazon apps, improved voice and data connectivity, improved Back Up Assistant, and the user experience in Calendar app has also been improved. Verizon has removed Video and Color application.

The Android 4.1 update alerts should be popping up on your handsets. If you’ve haven’t yet received the update, you can manually check for the update by going into Software Update in the Settings menu, Android 4.1 should pop up over-the-air after you get a notification of its existence.
