ZTE Nubia Z5

While we’ve already heard rumors about the existence of the 5.9-inch Windows Phone 8 handset from ZTE, the manufacturer has officially entered the club of the monster phones to offer a 5-inch 1080p Android phone. The phone you’re seeing in the images (below and above) called “ZTE Nubia Z5.” A couple of days ago, we’ve reported that Oppo is bringing its own 5-inch Find 5 1080p Android to the U.S. for a full retail price tag of $499 in the near future. And we’ve already have enough of the big phones in the States such as HTC Droid DNA and a 5.5-inch Samsung Galaxy Note II, and the yesteryear’s 1st-gen Galaxy Note phablet.

The ZTE Nubia Z5 will have a a quad-core 1.5 GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064 processor, 7.6mm thinner profile, 2 gigabytes of RAM, a massive 13 megapixel camera on back side, and it will be packed in a unibody construction. It has also got dual stereo speakers and you can see HTC One series-like camera construction on the backside of the handsets.

On the other side, LG is gearing up to release phone on AT&T codenamed LG E940 with 1920 by 1080 pixels, quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro chip, Adreno 320 GPU, and ships with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS. Of course, Sony is also coming its own Yuga or Odin with full HD display with luminant WhiteMagic tech, 13MP camera with Exmor R sensor. If you’re interested in the rumoured 5.9-inch ZTE WP8 handset with a full HD display, we don’t have much information to share with you. In fact, recently launched Windows Phone 8 doesn’t support 1080p resolutions.

ZTE has planned to release the Nubia Z5 phone in China in next week for an unknown price tag, but it has failed to provide details about the international availability of the handset.
