Earlier this month, Nokia Lumia 920T was the first official Windows Phone 8 handset announced for China release and it is scheduled to hit the markets in next year. It looks like, another WP8 handset is officially set to hit the Chinese markets on the near future. Of course, you can purchase the unlocked version of the Lumia 820 and HTC 8X handsets through online retailers. The world’s first announced Windows Phone 8 handset, Samsung ATIV S has released only in some parts of the world and there is no official word yet on the concrete release date for the U.S. carriers, although the device was made available in Canada through Rogers, Bell, and Telus networks.
The Chinese Ministry of Industry has certified the Samsug ATIV S handset to receive a network license, making it possible for releasing in the China. Sorry folks, we don’t know anything about the launch date and price information for Chinese markets. CNMO says that Ativ S is expected to be price around 4,000 yuan (that’s approx. $642). China Mobile is charging CNY 4,599 (US$ 739) for Lumia 920T handset. We’ve also heard that Samsung is planning to release mid-range spec’d Samsung Ativ Odyssey for Verizon Wireless in the U.S.
