American consumer electronics and eyewear company, Polaroid has introduced a 7-inch low priced Android tablet which is specially designed for kids. It includes all the fun and entertainment kids love with the security, durability and educational content that ensures parents a peace of mind. The tablet comes with a suite of apps like Kids cam, Music Studio and Draw that help children to develop creative capabilities. Other apps called, Kids Vids, and Free Play allow kids to stream safe and filtered videos, and to display all the free games and apps for download from the Kid-friendly App Show respectively.
The tablet is running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, packed with a 7-inch screen with WVGA resolution, a 1GHz processor, a 2 MP camera on the back, 512MB of RAM under the hood and a 3500mAh battery to run the device. The tablet also sports an 8GB of internal memory which can be expanded by using a microSD card. The tablet includes 35 premium apps.
It is expected that the tablet will be on display at CES in Las Vegas next week, but it is already available for purchase. You can buy one from the Polaroid Store. The tablet is priced at $149.99.
